Cyber Advisors has big news, if you haven't already seen it. It's about Jesse Homa, one of our superstar cybersecurity gurus, and trust me, it’s the kind of news that makes you want to do a little victory dance.
NSE 8 Certification
First off, Jesse’s brain is now officially NSE 8/FCX certified by Fortinet. Yep, you read that right. He’s aced one of the toughest exams out there, proving he’s got what it takes to navigate the wild world of network security like a pro. This isn’t just any certification; it’s a big deal in the cyber realm, showing off Jesse’s top-notch skills in tackling cyber threats head-on and keeping digital fortresses safe and sound.
For those unfamiliar with it, the NSE8 is the highest level of achievement one can receive from Fortinet and is now called the Fortinet Certified Expert (FCX) Cybersecurity certification. The FCX certification is designed to recognize the knowledge of network security design, configuration, and troubleshooting for complex networks and is broken up into two separate exams. The written exam (Jesse finished late last year) contains questions about design scenarios with exhibits, configuration extracts, and troubleshooting scenarios. Jesse recently passed the practical exam, which is a 9-hour firestorm of task oriented scenarios that required him to configure and validate a complete network topology involving multiple Fortinet products.
The number of people who are certified in the world currently in the low 300s and that puts Jesse as the only Minnesota based Fortinet Partner engineer that holds this certification.

Jesse didn’t just stop at certification. Jesse's the kind of guy who accomplishes a goal, then immediately says "Hold my beer" and leapfrogs right over it.
At Fortinet’s Accelerate24 convention, he decided to take on the Ultimate Fabric Challenge. Jesse already won 2nd place at the National Fabric Challenge a few months ago.. But why stop there? Let's head over to the UFC World Championship....
