Service Desk Spotlight: Jack McEvoy

There is an incredible crew on the Cyber Advisors Service Desk and we are excited for you to get to know them more. Several times a month there will be individual Service Desk spotlights to highlight the people behind the computer.

 

First up, we have Jack McEvoy! Jack started with Cyber in April of 2020 and quickly stood out for his hard work and dedication to clients.

Passion: Growing up, Jack was computer savvy and liked to play video games. However, his parents didn't allow him to have a gaming console so he gravitated towards PC games and quickly became the family tech guru helping family members remove viruses and solve other issues. Through this experience, Jack realized he liked working with computers and felt good helping his family. This translated into a strong passion for helping clients and Jack gains satisfaction from resolving issues.

 

IT Tip: Jack has a wide variety of calls, emails and requests that he helps clients with on the Service Desk and frequently helps clients with password reset requests and VPN connection issues. Jack recommends that end users restart their computer at least once a week to keep a variety of computer issues at bay.

 

Catch Jack on the Trails: In his free time, Jack is an avid mountain bike rider and enjoys the trails in Duluth (his hometown) and frequently rides at Theodore Wirth Regional Park in Minneapolis. He is always open to new trail suggestions and would love to chat more with any other mountain biker riders out there!
